Before you reach out

Help us understand the person, the company, and the opportunity.

Hyphen Capital invests in exceptional Asian American founders and supports them with both capital and a community of experienced founders, operators, and executives. We are stage agnostic, with check sizes typically ranging from $150,000 to $5,000,000 based on the company, financing, and stage.

This page is the best place for founders and investors to start a conversation with Hyphen. The intake is intentionally short. Give us accurate contact information, identify whether you are a founder or investor, and include a shareable pitch deck link when one is available. A deck is helpful, but it is optional.

For founders

Share a clear view of what you are building.

The strongest introduction makes it easy to understand the problem, your insight, the product, and why your team is suited to build it. If you include a deck, use a link that can be opened without requesting access. Helpful decks also explain the market, current progress, financing round, and intended use of capital without relying on inflated claims.

Hyphen often meets founders early, including around pre-seed, but the firm is not limited to one stage. If your company is further along, the same intake is still the right starting point. Select “Founder,” add your company name, and submit the most current information you have.

For investors

Tell us why Hyphen’s mission resonates with you.

Investors can use this form to begin a conversation about investing with Hyphen Capital. Select “Investor” and briefly explain what draws you to Hyphen’s focus on backing Asian American founders, its stage-agnostic approach, or the community surrounding the firm.

A useful introduction also shares the perspective you bring as an investor and how you hope to participate. Relevant context might include your investing experience, areas of interest, or connection to Hyphen’s mission. Clear, specific reasons are more helpful than a general request for information and give the team a better starting point for the conversation.

What happens next

Every submission enters the same review process.

After you submit, Hyphen receives the information provided through the form. The team reads every submission and will get in touch when there is a potential fit. Submitting the form does not create an investment commitment, and not every company or introduction will move forward.

Before submitting, double-check your email address and confirm that any pitch deck link works in a private browser window. If your materials change materially after submission, use the form again with your current company information and the updated shareable link so the latest version can be reviewed.
